ONE person was taken to hospital after they had to be cut free from a car following a two vehicle smash in Prestonpans.
Police closed Mid Road at the roundabout at Prestongrange Road, after they were called to the scene shortly before 12noon today.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was called in to cut one person out from a car as a result of the collision.
Police said the road was reopened within three hours.
Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed one person was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the incident but their condition is not known.
A police spokesperson said: "Police closed the road while emergency services were on scene."
