A 39-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested in connection with a string of thefts from garages and garden sheds in Prestonpans.

She has been arrested along with five teenagers in connection with the thefts.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in East Lothian have charged a number of youths and one adult in connection with a series of break-ins to outhouses in Prestonpans.

“The incidents took place in July and August when garages and sheds were targeted.

“Two males, aged 16 and 17 years old, have been charged in connection with the offences and will appear in court on September 21.

"Two females aged 39 and 15, as well as a 14-year-old and 15-year-old male, have also been charged in connection with these offences.”
