A PUBLIC swimming pool had to be closed after a child vomited in the water.
The Mercat Gait Centre, Prestonpans, shut its pool early on Monday evening after the youngster became unwell while taking part in a swimming class.
The pool, which has regular local club training sessions and hosts competitive galas, cancelled sessions for the rest of the evening.
East Lothian Council said the rest of the centre's facilities had remained open and the pool was reopened for business this morning (Tuesday).
