A NEW £2.7 million swimming pool complex will be unveiled when Seton Sands Holiday Village opens for the 2017 holiday season this spring.

Work is already under way on the new development, which will see a second pool added and double the number of bathers able to use the facilities.

East Lothian Courier:

Haven, which runs Seton Sands Holiday Village, just east of Port Seton, said the new pool would include racing water slides and fun water features when it opens its doors.

Seton Sands attracts more than 20,000 visitors to East Lothian every year, and employs about 150 members of staff.

The outlay on the pool complex, which is available for holiday camp users only, continues the capital investment made by Haven in Seton Sands, which in recent years has included new restaurants, an arcade and soft play facility, in addition to the nine-hole golf course opened about three years ago.

East Lothian Courier:

Jamie Stirling, general manager at Seton Sands, said: “We are looking forward to the completion of the new pool complex, which will once again enhance the facilities at Seton Sands.

“We have seen the popularity of Seton Sands continue to grow in recent years and we are ambitious for the future of the park. Families are obviously a core part of our business and we hope children – as well as those who are young at heart – will be able to enjoy the new facility, which will cater for those looking for a leisurely swim, as well as something a bit more high octane.

“With continuing high demand, Haven is continuing to invest in facilities for the enjoyment of all our owners and guests. We believe we can attract more and more holidaymakers to the area, which will boost the local economy and other businesses in East Lothian.”
