PRESTONPANS Primary School's famous Ding Dong Tree will become a tv star tomorrow night as it is officially crowned Scotland's Tree of the Year.
Comedian and TV presenter Ardal O'Hanlon travelled the United Kingdom to meet some of the most remarkable trees across the nation.
And the Ding Dong Tree was among those shortlisted to be named the best in their nation.
Tomorrow night the panel of judges overseeing the Woodland Trust competition will name their favourites on Channel 4 show Tree of the Year with Ardal O'Hanlon.
And, as the Courier revealed in October, the Ding Dong Tree will be given the Scottish title.

The Ding Dong Tree, which sits in the playground of Prestonpans Primary School beat off tough competition to take the top accolade.
Beloved by generations of pupils, the tree has become central to the life and identity of the school, appearing on the banner of its website.
It is so woven into the life of the school it has been described as almost like having an extra member of staff.
And it featured in a promotional film pupils made earlier this year when they were appealing for a new head teacher to come to the school.
The tree gained its name from a tig game invented by pupils who compete to touch its trunk, shouting 'Ding Dong!'
The tree’s protecting canopy makes it an ideal outdoor classroom, and it brings particular calm to children with complex emotions.
Inside the school itself, a calendar display shows pictures of the tree throughout the year alongside pupils’ achievements and most memorable moments of learning. Children hang bird feeders from the branches and it is the subject of many science and art projects.
The Ding Dong Tree can bee seen in Tree of the Year Ardal O'Hanlon on Channel 4 tomorrow night at 8pm.
