A PRESTONPANS woman has been banned from having 'unwelcome' visitors in her home.

Chelsea McKillop, 28, has been given an interim Anti Social Behaviour Order after allegations of shouting, swearing, and excessive noise at her New Street home.

It was also alleged the behaviour had become distressing to others and went on into the early hours of the morning.

East Lothian Council applied for, and were granted, the order against McKillop, who lives in New Street, at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

It restricts the number of visitors to her home to no more than two unless they are there for work reasons.

A council spokesperson said: "The council has an anti social behaviour strategy in place which seeks to preserve the rights of local residents to enjoy a peaceful lifestyle.

"Unfortunately Ms McKillop’s actions have had a distressing effect within her local community.

"As many of the antisocial behaviour problems experienced by neighbours stemmed from the actions of visitors to Ms McKillop’s property the terms of this ASBO reflect the need to restrict such unwelcome visitors."
