A 17-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the possession of a knife on Quality Street, North Berwick.
The incident occurred on Saturday at about 1.20am, when police apprehended the 17-year-old. He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Chief Inspector Matt Paden, Area Commander for East Lothian, said: “Carrying a knife automatically puts members of the public at risk.
“Police Scotland takes the tackling of knife crime incredibly seriously and works tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.
