A NORTH Berwick mum's been spurred on to raise an even bigger total for a cancer charity after her husband contracted the disease for the second time in seven months.

Natalie Pepper is raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support which has helped husband Mike through two battles with testicular cancer.

Mike, 27, had initially been diagnosed with the disease in September but was given the all-clear on Christmas Eve following chemotherapy.

But the couple, who have two children - Molly, two, and Charlie, four - received the devastating news the cancer had returned last month.

They remain confident he will beat it again, with the disease having been spotted at an early stage.

Natalie, of Lime Grove, plans to run the Edinburgh Half-Marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on May 27.

Before then, she is hosting a coffee morning at North Berwick's St Andrew Blackadder Church on May 19, 10am-1pm.

Said Natalie: "Mike has already been in for treatment. I think he'll be fine at the end of it, but it's given me that extra push to try and raise some more because we are back in touch with Macmillan again.

"We're at £800 now, I'd really love to just get £1,000."
