TICKETS for North Berwick"s premier summer festival "Fringe by the Sea" went on sale this week, with organisers hoping to attract more revellers from the Capital to the coastal event.
Aside from the musical acts on the bill, this year audiences can enjoy lectures from authors and film showings.
John Shaw, co-founder of the popular festival, said: 'The response to date has been incredible – we have been getting constant e-mails from people looking for tickets from Scotland and even Ireland.
'Expectations are extremely high this year, on the basis of the huge support from East Lothian residents last time round.
'There really is something for everyone this year and we are hoping to attract more people from Edinburgh to get away from the building site that is the city at the minute and enjoy a festival by the sea.'
Tickets are available via www.fringebythesea.com or at Green & Blues, High Street, North Berwick.
