THE county"s first slow food fair of the year takes place on Sunday in the marquee at the Scottish Seabird Centre.

From 11.30am to 3.30pm an array of food and drink producers and suppliers will be exhibiting various culinary delights from delicatessen, fresh seafood, organic eggs and hand-made chocolates to delicate patisserie.

Chair of organisers Slow Food East Lothian, Wendy Gootjes, said: 'There"s a great selection of food and drink on offer, and we recommend you get there early as we find things sell out very fast and we don"t want people to be disappointed.'

With a varied programme of events, including tasting evenings, themed meals in local restaurants and farm visits, the Slow Food East Lothian programme continues to grow in popularity each year.

New members are welcome and further information is available by visiting www.slowfoodeast
