TWO men have been jailed after admitting drug dealing in North Berwick.
Jason Boyd, of Salford, Manchester, and Steven McHaffie were jailed at Edinburgh Sheriff Court when they changed their not guilty pleas to a charge of supplying the Class B drug methyldimethylcathinone to guilty.
Boyd, 44, and 35-year-old McHaffie, described as a prisoner of HMP Edinburgh, had not guilty pleas to four other drug dealing charges accepted by the Crown.
Boyd was sentenced to 20 months in prison, while his co-accused was jailed for 27 months.
Claire Dainty, also of Salford, was cleared of being concerned in the supply cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine after her not guilty pleas were accepted.
All three accused appeared in front of Sheriff Robert Fife at the Capital’s sheriff court last Tuesday.
Boyd and McHaffie were jailed after pleading guilty to supplying quantities of methyldimethylcathinone at an address at Lochbridge Road, North Berwick, on May 18.
