EXTRA trains will run to and from North Berwick during this year’s Fringe by the Sea festival.

Thousands of people are expected to flock to the town when artists such as KT Tunstall, Eric Bibb and folk duo Phil and Aly perform at the August 7-13 gathering.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival and ScotRail, in partnership with East Lothian Community Rail Partnership, has announced that an additional late-night train service will operate.

It will leave North Berwick at 12.03am from Tuesday, August 8, to Monday, August 14, and will stop at each station on the line.

On Sunday, August 13, only, there is an additional late-night service: the 11.15pm Edinburgh to North Berwick.
