A MAJOR road in the centre of North Berwick is set to be closed for two weeks.
Quality Street is to be temporarily closed to allow for essential carriageway resurfacing work, East Lothian Council says.
The road will be closed in two sections: section One – Forth Street to High Street, from Monday, March 13, to Friday, March 17, from 9am to 4pm; section Two – High Street to East Road, from Monday, March 20, to Friday, March 24, during the same hours..
Residents and businesses have been informed directly by letter.
Any change to the roadworks, for example due to bad weather, will be updated at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and refuse collection will be carried out as normal.
Vehicle access to High Street will be retained at all times; a local diversion route will be signed.
