TWO new late night train services are being launched in East Lothian to help visitors to Fringe By The Sea and the Edinburgh Festivals.
ScotRail has announced a new Edinburgh to North Berwick service which will leave Edinburgh at six minutes past midnight from tomorrow night until Sunday, August 28, and will also link with a bus service from Drem to Dunbar.
The service will allow people heading to the events at the Edinburgh Festivals to stay later in the city.
And from Monday, August 8, until Saturday, August 13, a late night service will run from North Berwick to Edinburgh leaving at three minutes past midnight for people taking part in the North Berwick Fringe By The Sea Festival.
Cathy Craig, ScotRail’s commercial director, said: "The festivals are great for Scotland. We want to help as many people as possible get to and from the capital so that they can be part of the incredible festivals experience. That is why we are running more trains, later trains and providing more seats starting from next week.
“Trains are always busy during the festivals."
