POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman in a field close to the golf course at Musselburgh Golf Club in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident is understood to have happened in the field at the B6415, near Old Craighall Services.
Police remain at the scene and the entrance to the field was cordoned off as investigations continued.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police are currently in attendance on the B6415 near Old Craighall Services following a report of an incident in the early hours of Saturday. “Enquiries are at an early stage and no further information is available at this time.”
