IT was a day of burgers, bear hugs, bouncy castles and tears as this year's Musselburgh Grammar School's S6 pupils bid a fond farewell to their schooldays last Friday.
As part of a recent time-honoured tradition the pupils, along with staff members, spent the last morning before their exams having fun at the Musselburgh Lagoons.
They took part in games, a barbecue and yearbooks were signed, and memories shared.
Colin Gerrie, head teacher, said: "It was a wonderful last day for our S6 students and I commend them for their exemplary behaviour. I wish them good luck for the exams and their future careers."
The pupils will meet again at the senior prom on Friday, June 8, at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton.
Schools around the county have been saying farewell to their senior leavers with Preston Lodge High School's sixth year holding a beach-themed fun day at the Prestonpans secondary while at Ross High School, in Tranent, they had an emotional graduation ceremony.
Look out for more pictures from the schools in this week's Courier.
