TRAVELODGE says a paedophile who has been housed at an East Lothian hotel in Old Craighall has left the building.

Protestors have spent the night outside the hotel at Old Craighall after claims the man is staying there.

A group gathered outside the Travelodge, at Granada Services, yesterday evening following claims the man had been seen entering the building.

And it was claimed the hotel cancelled bookings overnight.

A live video feed of social media by campaigners has shown a police van arriving at the back of the hotel.

A spokesperson for Travelodge told the Courier: "The individual is no longer at the hotel, and it is business as usual."

However, protestors who have been watching the exits at the hotel insist the man is still inside at this time and are continuing their live video feed.

Despite their claims Travelodge insisted the man was not there, going on to say: "The hotel is fully operational and it is not housing anyone with a conviction."

The latest action followed several days of protests outside a house in Osborne Terrace, Cockenzie, where the same man was alleged to be staying.
