POLICE were told they would be attacked with a sword and their homes would be blown up by a Musselburgh man.
Lewis Sives appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and admitted taking a vehicle and driving it away without the owner’s consent at Westbank Terrace, Macmerry, in November last year.
The 27-year-old also pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while holding an expired provisional licence and to driving without insurance at Coal Neuk, Tranent, on November 29 last year.
Sives, of North High Street, Musselburgh, also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and threatening police with violence by attacking them with a sword and threatening to blow up their homes during the same incident in Tranent.
He returns to court for sentence on June 9.
