ONE of the main roads into Musselburgh has re-opened to traffic.

A section of the B6414 Monktonhall Terrace between Old Craighall roundabout and Mayfield Crescent at Musselburgh was shut on November 7 for 10 days so utility work could be carried out to allow a young family to spend Christmas in their new home.

The road was re-opened at lunchtime on Tuesday - a day ahead of schedule.

A spokesman for East Lothian Council said: "All the works were completed as planned and we are not aware of any problems with diversions."
