A BIN man faced investigation after claims he was caught short while out on a morning round.
A member of the public reported seeing the man 'peeing in the street' at around 7.40am in Musselburgh.
The witness took to social media to complain about the incident, adding "when I said to the driver, he just laughed and said 'when u gotta go, u gotta go'."
East Lothian Council confirmed it launched an investigation into the incident which was reported to have occured on Friday morning.
A council spokesperson said: "We received a complaint and it has been investigated and dealt with formally under the council’s complaints procedure."
Meanwhile Biffa Services apologised to another member of the public who reported one of their bin crews using 'foul language' while collecting refuse in Moray Way, in Musselburgh, on Tuesday lunchtime last week.
The organisation said: "All drivers will be briefed about this and advised to refrain from using this language."
