A 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital after she was struck by a car in Musselburgh High Street.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the accident, which happened around 5.35pm on Friday.
The teenager had to be taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary however police said her injuries were not believed to be serious.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in East Lothian responded to Musselburgh High Street at around 5.35 p.m. on Friday 2nd September after a 15-year-old girl was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Mokka.
"The girl was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to minor injuries and inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing."
