TWO 14-year-old boys have been arrested along with three men in connection with a string of thefts, including two attempted house break-ins in Musselburgh.
Police Scotland said the teenage boys would be reported through the juvenile reporting system after they were connected with what they described as house break-ins and 'high-value thefts'.
The men, aged 23, 24 and 25, are due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Chief Inspector Matt Paden said: “Police Scotland treats housebreakings and high value thefts with the utmost seriousness.
“There are several measures you can take to secure your secure your home and vehicle. This includes ensuring all access points to your property are locked and that keys are never left is an accessible place.
“It is also a good idea to think about further security measures, such as an alarm or security light.
