A MAN has been charged with a series of thefts in Musselburgh between March and May.
Between March 10 and May 28, several business and licensed premises were targeted, and police officers from the East Lothian Community Action Team have since been conducting various inquiries into each incident.
As a result, a 23-year-old was detained and subsequently charged with all of these offences.
He is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Tuesday).
Sergeant John Forrester from the ELCAT at Haddington Police Station said: "Each of these thefts had a financial impact on the premises targeted and, following a robust investigation by the ELCAT, a male is now in police custody.
"We treat all reports of acquisitive crime with the utmost seriousness and whenever these crimes occur we will utilise all the relevant resources at our disposal to identify those responsible."
