THE public are being asked to help trace a teenage boy who has been missing from his home in Musselburgh since Wednesday.

Kieran Lough left an address on Ravensheugh Road, Musselburgh, on Wednesday, June 1.

Since then, the 14-year-old was seen on Kirk Street, Prestonpans, at about 4pm on Sunday.

Police are now asking anyone who knows his current whereabouts to come forward.

Kieran is described as being olive-skinned, 5ft 8ins tall with light brown hair that is short at the back and sides and longer on the top. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and white Adidas trainers.

Inspector Andy Hill from Musselburgh Police Station said: "Kieran knows the Musselburgh and surrounding areas well and is confident when travelling alone.

"Nevertheless, we are eager to find him as soon as possible and I would urge anyone who knows where Kieran may currently be to contact police immediately.

"I would also ask Kieran to get in touch with family, friends, or with police as soon as possible to let us know he is safe."
