TEN-year-old Tyler Naismith chopped off his long hair to raise nearly £250 for charity in memory of his grandfather.
Tyler, a pupil at Burgh Primary School, held a sponsored haircut to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, and he handed over a cheque for £225 to the charity's shop in Musselburgh High Street, while showing off his new short hair-do.
Mum Kay said Tyler wanted to raise the money for the charity in honour of his grandfather Alan McCauley who died from a heart attack in 2011.
She said: "I lost my dad nearly four years ago to a heart attack, and Tyler and I both like buying and taking our old items to the British Heart Foundation in Musselburgh.
"Tyler wanted to raise money for their charity as he calls it his "grandad's charity"."
