County dad killed by lorry on bypass
THE wife of a Haddington father who was killed on the Edinburgh City Bypass last Friday says his family has been left "devastated" by his death.
Paul Coutts, 35, was involved in a collision with a lorry about half-a-mile east of the Sheriffhall Roundabout at 11.40pm, and died as a result of his injuries.
Police are continuing an accident investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and have appealed for witnesses.
Mr Coutts, of Monkmains Road, was not in a vehicle at the time, but there is no indication as to how he came to be on the carriageway.
The lorry driver was not hurt in the crash.
It is believed Mr Coutts was originally from Aberdeen.
A statement from his wife Laura said: "Paul's death is an absolute tragedy and has left us all devastated.
"He was loved to bits and will be missed by everyone who knew and cared for him, including extended family, friends and especially his daughter."
