A NEW county boxing club has officially opened - offering coaching and equipment for amateur fighters.
East Lothian Amateur Boxing Club, formally established in 2009, opened its doors at 19A Mill Wynd in Haddington.
Designed to take forward the development of a properly regulated boxing club, it is primarily aimed at men and women aged 25 and younger.

Former amateur boxer Callum Colquhon and his colleague Murray Thomson established the club, after they carried out research among local young people to discover whether such a facility would be well-used.
Eight trained volunteer instructors will lead at least six sessions every week at the club.
The venture was supported by a £9,500 grant from East Lothian Community Safety Forum, while the National Lottery and Sports Relief also provided financial backing.
Councillor Stuart Currie, East Lothian Council spokesperson for community safety, was due to attend this week to view the facilities.
He said: "I am pleased to see East Lothian Amateur Boxing Club open its doors after many months of hard work from all of the committee members and volunteers.
"The club aims to provide young people in our area with a positive environment that will encourage healthy eating, exercise, discipline and team work.
"There was strong evidence from local youngsters that they would use a facility like this so I'm sure they will be as pleased to see it open as I am. The Community Safety Forum was pleased to support the club's formation with a grant and we will watch its progress with interest."
