THE owner of two ornamental lion statues stolen from outside the front door of her house has urged for their return.
The black lions were stolen from the house on Haddington’s Hepburn Road on December 14 or 15.
Caroline Grant was upset that they had been taken and said: “They are not light.
“They sat outside the house for about 25 years.”
Mrs Grant said that the statues, which were a gift from her son Alexander, were of great sentimental value.
The theft took place at the same time as the house was being renovated following a burst water tank.
Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
