A 33-year-old man has been banned from shouting and swearing at neighbours after his behaviour "alarmed and disturbed" local residents.
Kevin Sands,of Carlyle Gardens, in Haddington, was issued with an interim Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
East Lothian Council presented the court with details of the alleged anti-social behaviour of Mr Sands which included threatening and abusive behaviour and language towards neighbours and others.
The order bans him from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes shouting, swearing, using threatening, aggressive or abusive behaviour and playing music at an unacceptably loud volume.
A council spokesperson said: “The interim ASBO served on Mr Sands has resulted from repeated complaints from neighbours and others within the local community of Haddington who have been alarmed and disturbed by his behaviour.
"The council’s Safer Communities team worked closely with Police Scotland colleagues to respond to complaints and gather the evidence to present to court.”
