A FORMAL police warning has been given to a man who took a freezer which had been left outside to defrost.
The incident took place on Haddington’s Whittingehame Drive.
On going to check on the freezer, the owner found it had been stolen.
Constable Lynn Black told the town’s community council about the incident, which took place on March 15, and said: “Enquiries were made locally and a male was issued with a formal police warning for taking the freezer.”
