TRIBUTES are to be paid on the anniversary of the death of three teenagers from East Lothian who were tragically killed in a car crash one year ago.

Eighteen-year-old Jenna Barbour, 16-year-old Josh Stewart and David Armstrong, 15, all of them pupils or former pupils of Dunbar Grammar School, were killed after a crash near Tyninghame last November 25.

A number of pupils from Dunbar Grammar School are expected to be among those remembering the lives of the three teenagers in Dunbar on Tuesday night, exactly a year on from the crash.

Members of the public are expected to meet outside St Anne’s Church, on the town’s Westgate, at 8pm.

Andrea Kelly, David’s mum, is among those taking part in the “small” event to mark one year since the tragic accident.

Already, a real 14-foot Christmas tree in memory of the trio has been planted.

Those in attendance will hold a minute’s silence before a plaque will be put next to the tree and a few words said in memory of the teenagers.

Lanterns will be released from Dunbar harbour, with the emergency services also expected to lay wreaths to remember Jenna, Josh and David.

The plaque will bare the message “forever in our hearts”.

Dunbar Grammar School is also planning to have a minute’s silence on Tuesday before opening the school doors to the public at 6.30pm on Wednesday.

A special service, including photographs and songs, will then be held.

Mrs Kelly has organised a number of fundraisers in memory of her son, who was a keen footballer and rugby player.

A special football tournament was held earlier this year, as well as a musical event in Dunbar.

Since then, £1,000 of the money raised has been donated to the town’s sprint star Maria Lyle to help with her training.
