A TEENAGER was stopped by police on Dunbar High Street and found to have seven bottles of Buckfast.
The 15-year-old was stopped and searched by police on the street last month and found in possession of the bottles.
Constable Gavin Ross told members of the town’s community council on Monday about the incident, which took place on June 20.
Officers have since tracked an adult who is believed to have bought the alcohol and has been arrested and charged.
The officer said it had been “a busy month” and highlighted a number of offences which had taken place over the last four weeks.
That included “a large number” of tickets being issued for illegal parking on the town’s High Street.
