Man who died following Dunbar flat fire named

Seumas Cairns, 45, tragically died following a fire at his home last Thursday morning.

A MAN who died after a fire in his Dunbar home last Thursday has been named.

Seumas Cairns was found unconscious when fire crews were called to his flat on High Street at about 11am.

Passers-by had seen smoke coming from the windows and called the fire service.

Crews gave the 45-year-old CPR before he was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but he died shortly after arriving.

Lothian and Borders Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
