THIEVES stole a £16,000 caravan from a storage facility at West Barns in a daring night-time raid.

CCTV footage of the robbery captured the thieves towing away the Elddis Avante caravan using a white van shortly before midnight on Thursday, May 24.

The owner of the caravan, which is less than five years old, said the robbery had been devastating.

Sally Murray, from East Linton, said the caravan had been stored at a storage facility on an industrial site.

She said: "It is absolutely devastating, not only have we lost our caravan but we had holidays booked which we have now had to cancel.

"We're appealing to anyone who can help to get in touch with the police."

Police confirmed the incident had been reported to them.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in East Lothian are investigating following the reported theft of a caravan in Dunbar.
