THE body of a 30ft long Minke whale has been found on the beach at Belhaven after it washed ashore late on Sunday evening.
Coast To Coast Surf School shared images of the animal after their instructors came across it on Monday.
The animal is believed to have died at sea several weeks ago and was so badly decomposed cause of death could not be established.
East Lothian Council said it was alerted to the whale by countryside rangers and arrangements were made to take the carcass away.
