A SECOND man has died following a house fire in Dunbar.
Robert Cameron, 79, known as Bobby, passed away on Saturday following the fire on Cedar Street on February 25.
The fire, which is thought to have started in the kitchen of the house, also claimed the life of 89-year-old Robert Wallace, who died the day after the fire, while his wife Agnes also required hospital treatment.
Dunbar Community Council chairman Stephen Bunyan paid tribute to Mr Cameron at the group's meeting on Monday evening.
The meeting started with the group offering their condolences to both the Wallace and Cameron families.
The group’s chairman said: “I was very sorry to hear [Mr Cameron] had died.
“I thought the longer he remained in hospital the better chance of his recovery.”
Mr Bunyan said he had known Mr Cameron for a number of years, particularly through his involvement with the town’s Christmas lights group.
