POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman had to be cut free from a car on the A1 in the early hours of yesterday morning following a crash on the outskirts of Dunbar.
Firefighters were called to Thistly Cross Roundabout at around 1.30am after reports of an accident at the site.
Crews from Dunbar, Haddington and East Linton attended and managed to free the woman from the vehicle.
She was treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service and taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. She was later released.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
