THE woman who was killed in a crash on the A1 near Dunbar on Friday has been named.

She was Meghan Ambrozevich-Blair, from Dunbar.

The 26-year-old was driving westbound at about 7.50am on Friday when her black Kia Cerato was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit pick-up.

Meghan's family have issued a statement paying tribute to her.

They said: "We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Meghan.

"This tragedy has robbed everyone of a future with such a loving, caring, kind, beautiful and happy person who sparkled inside and out.

"The outpouring of love we have received has both been of great comfort to her family and friends, and a testament to just how many lives she enhanced."

The 54-year-old male driver of the pick-up was taken to the Royal Infirmary for Edinburgh for medical attention after the crash, which took place between Spott Roundabout and Thistly Cross Roundabout; however, his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for six and a half hours in both directions following the crash.
