BAGPIPES, Bugsy Malone, poetry, cheerleading and, of course, celebrating the achievements of youngsters ensured Dunbar Grammar School’s annual awards evening was a roaring success.

The school’s games hall was jam-packed for the event on September 14 which saw more than 100 students presented with awards recognising their achievements over the last 12 months.

Teachers and pupils presented the awards throughout the evening.

Paul Raffaelli, the school’s headteacher, told the audience the school’s future was “exciting” with a major extension due to open in 2018.
