POLICE are investigating following a break-in at a house in Longniddry while the homeowners were on holiday.

It is understood that the culprits removed the patio doors at the rear of the Glassel Park Road property at some point between 12.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday in order to gain entry.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing to determine whether any items were taken during the break-in and officers are urging anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area to come forward immediately."

Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 3113131.
