PLANS to build housing on the site of the former Scottish Fire College in Gullane will be unveiled this month.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service plans to reveal its proposals for the former training college at a public exhibition in the village on Wednesday, May 27.
East Lothian Council has already identified the potential to create a residential development on the land of up to 100 new homes in its Main Issues Report, which looks at possible sites for housing in the county over the next decade.
The fire service has brought in Edinburgh planning consultants Barton Willmore to help draw up designs for the site.
The exhibition is part of a public consultation under a Proposal of Application Notice, which is carried out before any plans are submitted to East Lothian Council.
The public exhibition will be held in Gullane Village Hall between 1pm and 8pm on May 27.
