A NEW bus service connecting East Lothian with Dundee is launched next week.
Ember has confirmed the E1X service will link Wallyford to Edinburgh, Kinross and the City of Discovery.
The new route is launched on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the bus company said: “As well as providing extra seats to and from Edinburgh during rush hour, this is the first time we’ll be continuing through to East Lothian, where we’ll call at Wallyford Park and Ride.
“At Wallyford, the coach will take advantage of a brand new charger for a quick top-up before it heads home.
“We’re starting with two services per day in each direction but we hope to be able to increase this in due course.”
Weekday services leave Wallyford at 11.30am and 4.52pm each day and reach Dundee at 1.31pm and 6.55pm.
In the opposite direction, services will leave Dundee at 8.20am and 1.46pm, and reach Wallyford Park and Ride at 10.25am and 3.47pm.
