RECYCLING centres throughout East Lothian will be temporarily closed on Thursday.
The facilities at North Berwick, Dunbar and Kinwegar, in Wallyford, usually open at 8.30am.
However, all three will be shut until the afternoon due to “staff training”.
A spokesperson for East Lothian Council said: “We aim to reopen at 1pm but will not be able to accept vans and trailers on this date.”
East Lothian's fourth recycling centre, in Macmerry, “temporarily” closed in early October last year due to a “council recruitment freeze and a need for financial savings”.
No date has been given for when the village's recycling centre could reopen.
