A FESTIVAL-GOER will be sentenced later this month after he admitted causing a disturbance at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, including attempting to bite a police officer.
Liam Allison was attending the EH1 dance festival and was arrested after he refused to leave the premises when requested to do so.
Allison shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner towards employees on September 23 last year.
While being arrested, Allison, of Deantown Drive, Whitecraig, obstructed two constables by kicking out with his legs before he then went on to assault a police inspector by attempting to bite him.
The 33-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in March, where he pleaded guilty to the three offences and sentence was deferred to last Wednesday.
But when the case called, Sheriff Peter McCormack was told that Allison was not in attendance due to illness.
The sheriff agreed to defer for a second time for Allison’s personal appearance to later this month.
