ONE-hundred years of the East Lothian Antiquarian and Field Naturalists’ Society will be marked next month.
The group was founded on May 10, 1924, and is holding a “once-in-a-century” event at St Mary’s Parish Church in Haddington.
The full-day conference, entitled ‘East Lothian through the ages’, takes place on May 11. A wide variety of topics will be featured throughout the day, such as the impact of the Romans in East Lothian, the rise of East Lothian’s mansion houses, agricultural innovation and the role of coal mining and associated industries.
All are welcome – for the full programme and to book, go to eastlothianantiquarians.org.uk/events/list
