THE driver of a vehicle, which had come off the road near Gladsmuir, was allegedly found to be over the drink-drive limit by police.
The Scottish Ambulance Service spotted the vehicle off the A199 and alerted their police colleagues.
Police took to social media yesterday (Sunday) to highlight the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The Scottish Ambulance Service came across a vehicle which had come off the road on the A199 near Gladsmuir.
"Dunbar Road Police attended and the driver provided a positive roadside breath test of 64ug and later provided a reading of 55ug at the station.
"Driver reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Meanwhile, officers also stopped another driver, who was also allegedly found to be over the drink-drive limit and disqualified.
Road policing officers stopped the motorist in Haddington on Friday.
On social media, they said: “The driver was found to be disqualified from driving and refused to provide a roadside breath test.
“Arrested and provided a lower reading of 58ug at the station (limit 22ug).
“Vehicle seized, driver reported and held in custody.”
