EAST Lothian's MSP has praised an East Linton business for its sustainable production of non-dairy drinks.
Brose Oats, based at The Mart in the village, uses only East Lothian-grown oats, supports employment at its East Lothian production facility and uses glass bottles as sustainable packaging.
Paul McLennan recently visited the business and said: "It was great to meet the Brose Oats team.
"This local business is a fantastic example of the high-quality food and drink industry in East Lothian.
"Unsurprisingly, they were awarded the best product this year at the Speciality Food and Drink show.
"Brose Oats prides itself on its sustainability and is already making a big difference locally.
"I look forward to seeing how this exciting new local business continues to go from strength to strength."
Myles Bax, relationship manager for Scottish EDGE, which invested £100,000 into Brose Oats last November, said: "Scottish EDGE is delighted to support Brose Oats and back their talented team.
"Their ambition to become a household name and their dedication to ensuring complete traceability of the provenance of their product as they scale up stood out during their pitch.
"This brand is one to watch."
