CONTACTLESS payment could be rolled out across Prentice Coaches by the end of the month.
The Haddington-based firm launched the contactless option on its 108 service, which links Haddington with Fort Kinnaird.
Ross Prentice, managing director, hoped it would prove a good long-term investment and also make life easier for those using the services.
He said: “Basically it is the way everything is going.
“We have been looking at it for a wee while.
“This is just the start, the whole fleet will be contactless but that will take a few weeks.”
Mr Prentice added it would be the first bus route in East Lothian or Midlothian to accept contactless payments.
All other payment options will remain open to passengers.
