A FORMER county man has received a prison sentence after he admitted stealing from an Edinburgh university.
Alexander Manclark broke into Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston Campus and made off with three guitars and cases.
Manclark, 29, stole a Jose Ramirez guitar from the university building between January 30 and February 8.
He also took an Ibanez guitar and case and an Alhambra guitar and case from the university campus building between February 7 and 8.
The thief appeared from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday, where he was handed a four-month jail sentence.
Manclark, formerly of Prestonpans, is already serving a 12-month custodial sentence for unrelated offences and the latest sentence will run consecutively to his current prison term.
