WORKMEN have been battling to make a lampost safe ahead of today's gala in Prestonpans after Storm Hector left it hanging over the road.
The lampost, which stands in the car park across from The Gothenburgh pub, was reported to have been left at an angle over the road on Thursday as East Lothian was batterd by gale force winds.
Workers were out yesterday trying to put it back in position.
As this picture by East Lothian Courier Camera Club member Peter Hughes shows the loose lampost was swaying back over the car park itself as they worked.
